Field Work in Oklahoma!

I was lucky enough to travel with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation when they were in the field putting satellite transmitters on eagle chicks. Since I am normally on the lab side of things, I was very appreciative to get to go out to learn about the transmitters and how to safely climb the trees to obtain the chicks. I was also able to obtain blood samples from these chicks to begin genetically analyzing the Oklahoma population of bald eagles. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures by myself, Micah Homes, and Teryl Grubb.
On a side note, I made a few changes on the website about my research to make sure it is staying up to date, so check them out.
